Pre-wired ES-335/345/355 Complete Harness Finally - A Dr. Vintage Early-Spec prewired control set for owners of Gibson ES-335/345/355 style guitars. I'm proud to offer a 'drop-in', complete replacement harness for these instruments. This kit will be an improvement to your 335, and greatly ease the process for those who choose to convert their Stereo/Varitone ES-345/355 to the 335 configuration. The original harness comes out intact, and the replacement harness goes back in, loaded with Dr. Vintage Early-Spec components. And naturally, the harness is the perfect mate for my Rick Norman Pickups Dot-neck Set of pickups.
Like my pre-assembled kit for Les Pauls, this control set is jig-built to ensure a proper fit. In addition to the hand-selected components, I include a new Switchcraft three-way switch and Switchcraft output jack.The harness includes something you don't find in the original Gibson wiring scheme - extended leads for the pickups. These extra-long leads extend from the harness up into the pickup cavities. You connect the pickups in the pickup cavities, simplifying the installation of the harness and the pickups. Once the harness is in the body, it never has to come out again. What a boost for the player who likes to experiment with different pickups. It's never been so easy. This harness is configured to fit the traditional, full-size Gibson ES-335/345/355 guitars. I make no claim that this harness will fit any of the modern variants, such as the CS-336 or 339, etc. If you own a variation of this model line, please call me before ordering to help determine fit issues.

The original Early-Spec kit that started it all - this kit is specifically for Gibson vintage and Historic Les Pauls. It comes fully-assembled for a rapid installation. Wired in the classic simplicity of the '50s configuration, they come with the volume pots pre-tinned in the proper places to make soldering your pickup and switch wires as simple as can be. The kits are also wired with a vintage-style ground buss wire and vintage-style woven insulation. This kit automatically includes the Dr. Vintage Solder Shield (shown below).

The kit includes four Dr. Vintage pots that are hand-chosen to work together in their assigned positions to produce the widest range of control you've ever experienced. This kit is suitable for most guitars featuring standard two-pickup, four control arrangements, such as Les Pauls, ES-3x5, SG, Firebird, etc., guitars. This kit is also suitable for instruments with two volume/one tone arrangements such as Flying Vs, Explorers, and similar guitars. And this kit isn't just for Gibson guitars - these pots will fit any guitar that uses the pots with the standard 3/8" diameter, 3/8" tall busings. So you guys with other fine guitars, go ahead and make your "Dr. appointment"! (This kit is not suitable for some Gibson Les Paul models that require "long-shaft" pots. Please confirm before ordering.)
This Dr. Vintage Early-Spec kit includes four pots, two .022uf caps, vintage-style brown woven insulation sleeving, and vintage-style ground buss wire (not shown in picture). Installation guidelines are also included. If you are installing your kit in Les Paul-style guitar, we also include our exclusive Dr. Vintage Solder Shield (shown below) to protect the finish of your guitar during installation.
